About Whole Life FocusAlan Geller, Managing Partner Alan has a Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rutgers University . He has a long list of sales and marketing experiences including owning and operating several retail businesses, owning and operating several franchises in addition to playing key corporate roles including National Sale Director (US) and VP of Operations (Canada) for a medium sized franchised organization. As one of the founding partners of Applied Nutrition Canada Corp. and Whole Life Focus he plays a general management role and currently serves as the head of the Board of Directors. He has written a book with the working title “Scary Diagnosis – Straight Talk About Illness and Diagnosis and How and Why You Need To Take Action”, which should be available in early January 2007. The book is the result of Alan's wife surviving 2 bouts of cancers and his own efforts to deal with his own “Scary Diagnosis” of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) made in 2004. These experiences played a significant role in conceiving and creating both the Clinical and distribution arms of our businesses. We are happy to report that his health improves almost daily and in many ways he is more active and involved in business and life than he has been for years (his thoughts, not ours)! RJ Rock Marziano, Managing Partner With over 30 years experience in the beauty and retail industry, Rock was responsible for franchise sales in the Northeast Sector of North America plus training franchise owners in the United States. He currently owns franchises with a retail company as well as other business ventures. He is a graduate of St. Joseph's University holding dual degrees in marketing and criminal justice. His specialty is mass marketing, building franchises and assisting organizations to increase sales and improve profitability. He helped author a book on franchising and is an accomplished speaker and presenter in the industry. Rock served his country during the Viet Nam war and is married for 30 years with 2 teenagers. In addition Rock is also a certified personal trainer and has competed and placed in several body building competitions. He is heavily involved with community service in his town and was named Commissioner 3 times to improve those programs. His goal is to run for political office and help people in that environment. James (Jim) Roberts, CFO & Operations Manager Jim brings over 30 years of experience gained in a career in the Canadian Steel manufacturing business. Jim's varied roles during that ‘apprenticeship' included titles from IT Systems Analyst to Financial Services Manager. Six years ago he ventured in to his own business offering support and consultative services to small businesses and charities. Among his other present roles, Jim is the VP Finance of a national children's charity focussing on inner city children living in poverty in Canada and he also provides management support to a web hosting company in Canada . Jim manages the day-to-day operational functions of Whole Life Focus and Applied Nutrition Canada . Dr Brian Smuk - CEO, Clinic Director At Whole Life Focus Dr. Smuk is responsible for corporate vision, new product development and evaluating new opportunities. He is also the director of clinics responsible for training clinicians and maintaining our high quality of patient care. Dr. Smuk has a Chiropractic Degree from New York Chiropractic College , Applied Kinesiology Certification from the International College of Applied Kinesiology and a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education from Brock University . When not in the office Dr. Smuk can usually be found on the golf course or the ski hill. Temple Swift , International Sales & Marketing Director With over 18 years of Entrepreneurial and Direct Sales & Marketing experience, Temple has developed excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. As a previous Health Food Broker, Temple was responsible for the promotion and direct sales of natural health food products in the Southwestern region of Ontario , Canada . As a Broker of over 150 different health food products, she has extensive product knowledge and the experience to develop sales through training on these products. As the President and Owner of Saberton Swift Demonstrations Services Inc., she provided a sales team and demonstration service business for companies in: food & beverage products; health and beauty aides; perfumes; homes and boating. This started by providing a thorough education and sales training course to several organizations offering staff as trained exhibitors. Temple has her H.B.A. (Honors BA – Physical Education, Biology, and Psychology), B.ED (Bachelor of Education) and O.T.C (Ontario Teachers Certificate). With Whole Life Focus, Temple provides marketing and sales assistance, across North America , by training and motivating sales teams and re-sellers to grow their existing business.
